Disney Homeschools Days May Have Retired, But There Are Still Many Educational Resources at Your Fingertips

Disney Homeschool Days

Great DVDs About the Science Imagineers Use on Attractions

I started my kids, about three months before we left for our Disney World vacation, watching the DVD’s from the Imagineering series.  We LOVE those DVDs.   They are truly a gem.  All my kids love them.  I then created a memory book with educational information from the videos they watched, linking it to the attractions we would be seeing and gave them those books to look at and draw in as we toured the park.  It was a win all the way around.

Please consider these as an educational extension to your Walt Disney World trip.  You won’t regret it.  They even have an educators lesson plan hidden on the DVD that you can use as a guide to creating other activities to reinforce the contents of the DVD.

The Homeschool Days Program Retired

The official Homeschool Days program hasn’t been around for several years; however, we have developed homeschool curriculum to make your Disney World trip a fun science and financial literacy experience.  We have a free ebook you can use on your own, or you can purchase a workbook that you can have your children use to document their trip and learn.  These books double as a great memory keepsake.

If your children are into the Kingdom Keepers book series there is a Kingdom Keepers Quest.  However, we understand that homeschooled children’s families are always looking to stretch their dollar and this program could be cost prohibitive.

Added Bonus FREE Disney Park Games

There are lots of other learning opportunities to enjoy with just your family. Have you heard of Wilderness Explorers at Disney’s Animal Kingdom? Your kiddos will have so much fun completing animal activities and challenges and they’ll earn fun sticker badges along the way, too! If your kiddos are younger, they’ll love the Kidcot Fun Stops throughout the World Showcase at Epcot. Plus, there are LOTS of attractions and experiences all around the Walt Disney World Resort like Spaceship Earth, The American Adventure, and The Hall of Presidents that will teach you AND your kids something new.

Out curriculum covers many educational attractions such as:

We also recommend the Behind the Seeds tour in Epcot.  It’s only $20 per person and you get to experience the future of agriculture.
